Default 112 or 114 lsa

ive decided on the tr224, but i don't know about the lsa, how much more power is produced with the 112 and how much more driveability issue is there with the 112?

5-10 hp at the most. With cam of that size I don't think there would be much driveability difference either. I have 233/239 112 in my A4 and it doesn't stall on me or anything horrible. It does have a ground thumping lope and it surges a little w/ the AC on but it's nothing I can't live with. Driveability is all about what you yourself can put up with.

I have a custom cam with a 221/223 112 LSA (so I can pass smog). The 112 might give you a little more power at a lower RPM which is good with an A4. The idle will be a bit more rough on a 112. You will need a tune. My car still gives me a hard time with warm starts (I need to give it a little gas after she starts and hold it for a few seconds). My tuner said that A4s on a 112 cam take a bit more fine tuning so I need to bring it back to fix my warm start issue.

Also, you will need to get a torque converter to match your cam for the best performance.

I have a 216/220 on 112LSA being made right now myself. Lift is in the .580 range.
