Default So how screwed is my motor pt.2

A few months back I posted this about when I changed my oil: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/238297-so-how-screwed-my-motor.html

Ever since that day I have been watching my oil like a hawk, i think i look at it more than my speed...
Anyhoo, the oil psi is still awesome, even when hot it's above 40psi. Cold idle is like 60something.

This past weekend I changed it again, no chunks like last time, just very very fine shreds of metal were on the magnet, i'd say <1mm long, and it wasn't alot, I think it was just normal wear, am I wrong? Also, drained the oil into 5 (of 6) qts, so it didn't drink that much.

I have a 408 on order but I am still leary about my 346, should I be or do you think i'll be alright?

thanks
-Steve

The chunks were magnetic? Obviously not aluminum... Were the chunks very small or larger and random shapes? I would definitely look into that... I previously worked in a machine shop and had seen nightmare engines where this had happened, and the client continued to drive...

They werent really chunks, just very very fine thin shavings, not much at all, way less then the last swap.
