OK i understand about the LSA but what is the intake centerline? and how does that effect everything?

Ok easy lesson....

LSA is the product of the average of the Intake and Exhaust Centerlines.....

For example a cam with a 110 ICL and a 114 ECL gives you a 112LSA.

The other thing that this relates to is the advance or retard on a cam.

The example above is advanced +2.

You take the LSA and subtract the ICL and what you are left with is the advance or retard. If you get a negative number you have the cam retarded.

That make sense?
