very high comparing to stock specs , this feature alow more heat, danger on trans . however ,it`s recommended that stock pushroads be replaced with more robust aftermarket ones . stock ps have a tendecy to flex or brake . I dont know if i got your question?
ok well here's the deal the whole time i thought this was how much can a stock internal engine rev too safely...(as you can tell by my first couple of posts) but i'm still almost positive distortion69 told me he blew his engine revving it to 7,000 rpms often...also lanched on mt's a lot...i was asking him a bunch of questions since he installed the cam on my car...and i was wondering how well it would hold up with 99,000 miles and he was telling me about this car that he had (so i could make a comparison)...i tried im'ing him but no luck...i doubt he will chime in on this but i'll send him a pm...
My car got bent valves from a missed shift. I didn't actually see the shift light go off, or the tach go past 7k. I was just having an incredibly difficult time to get it to go into gear because of the clutch at the time. Even then, the valves weren't really that bent.. there was no major piston to valve evidence. The only thing was that 4 valves were extremely hard to get out of the head (had to beat them out with a hammer), although they still looked relatively straight. That could have been done by the previous owner as he missed several gears in the car. I put 241 heads back on it.
Motor still runs if assembled. Must be some misunderstanding. I, personally, wouldn't spin to 7k very often.. maybe drag strip passes/close races only. Mine went there hundreds of times with no ill effects. I also had ARP Rod bolts installed at ~30k.
Whether or not you'd see any benefit shifting at 7k is a different story.. My car picked up ~1 mph going from 6500 or so to 6900. I, however, cannot powershift fast enough to shift at 6900 and not hit the rev limiter. But my little brother can
Good Luck,
Josh

What I mean to say is.. show me an Ls1 that moved his rev limiter to 7k and then blew his motor up because of the extra RPMs.
Go ahead.. show me one. And PLEASE Don't say you've seen someone do it or a friend did it.
Mine has been living on 7k since the cam. I have ARP Rod bolts and federal mogul rod bearings.

. it'll show you what ~7200rpm and a stock bottom end looks like.
