How much lift?

How much lift can a stock shortblock 346 handle without clearance problems?
Does the 71cc LQ4 or LQ9 head give you any more clearance?

While John was alive, LPE wouldn't sell anything over .550 w/o valve relief and they may still adhere to this view. More aggressive builders go to .600. There is no absolute here.

Depends on the duration more than the lift.

The duration is 242, 248 @.050 lobe sep at 114....

It looks like I will probably have to flycut...the lobes that comp and I specced go to around .655" with the aforementioned 242,248 degrees @.050. This is a turbo motor.
