Default timing chain problem

a new challenge in this cam install is the timing chain. The lower smaller crankshaft spocket on my 99 camaro is pressed on tight, how would i go about removing that spocket(gear) in order to install my new double roller? Also how do i go about installing the new Dual gear, is there a special tool that i don't have? anyone who has done one of these please help me out

Just rent a small puller from autozone to get the gear off. To get the new one on, slide it on the crankshaft and use the old one and a rubber mallet to hammer the new one on.

Like P mack said go to autozone and rent or borrow a puller, they also have them cheap to buy also, When I installed one for my budy I cut a piece of pipe that would fit over the crank and was a couple of inches longer and used my harmonic balancer installer to press it on worked great. Make sure its small enough that your not on the teeth.
