ticking, good or bad?

ticking, good or bad? my cousin has a 1998 t/a and i have a 2000 t/a they both have under 35,000 ,miles. When you first start it up and a for a bout five - seven minutes after startup the valves tick kinda loud. Is this normal operation?

In my opinion It's alot quieter now. 
Yeah I believe they all do it I just live with mine some of the newer models had a tsb on replacing the oil pump oring because they leak and airiation of the oil makes it tap.Some fix it and some don't.My freind has an 01 and he swapped out using the longer oil filter and his queitened down a lot?
