Torquer + 918's = BOOM ?

Torquer + 918's = BOOM ? Am I gonna be okay with 918's and this cam with lift of .589 ? I called TSP and they said I would be okay and comp claims them to be good to .600 but I am just woried about breakin a spring and ruining my engine.... can anyone reassure me ?

The beehive springs are better than any duals in the range they handle if properly installed. I run mine on .581 XE-R lobes.
They are lighter
Better harmonics
Since the "blue" ones came out, there has been very few failures.
I used to have single spring phobia from reading some "early" comp failures "green" and most poeple preaching the dual safety issue, just as the double roller bandwagon.
918's are some of the best on the market.

918's have a lot more ***** than most people think. they are a hell of a spring and can handle more than .600 lift unlike their advertised max lift from comp. i wouldn't think twice about putting them in your car.

I just ordered the same cam and went with the dual springs for $100 more.If you drop a valve when the single breaks is gonna be a mess.also on TSP's web site the 233/233 grind shows 589/589...didnt get mine yet(in transit)but wonder if its been updated??
I would go duals, not for "POM" as much as frequent changing. I had the 918s on with my TSP 231/237 with slightly more lift than the torquer and was no problem. Ran that same set on my old TR224 as well, total of over 18mo's/ 15,000miles/500track passes. But, to do it all over again, I would go doubles as ever time I raced I prayed the springs wouldnt break.

I pray that my rear will hold, that my tranny will hold, that my N2O noids wont stick, that my oil pump will hold, that I will hook, that the other guy/girl doesn't cross the line, and finaly that I win the race.But no i have faith in my 918's
