Default TR 230/224 cam question

im wondering if the TR 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA would be a good cam for me with my current mods which are listed in my sig? i want a cam with good mid and top range power and an aggressive idle. even though the camaro isnt a "daily" driver i dont want to have major drivability issues.

if this isn't a good cam, could you offer any suggestions of what would be? i would like to make close to if not 400 hp.

thanks
will

I have that cam with the same lid I and a predator custom tune and slp maf. I made 385 with a good afr thru cats and ported heads. I have a new motor now and haven't dynoed it yet. going with hptuners when i get the time should be around 420 rwhp thru a moser 12 bolt. really agressive idle. you WILL have to get a tune. flat power and tq curve. power everywnere. a good cam

also on a 100 shot thru cats i got 463 hp and 528 tq. again flat curves. I have cats off now and made alot of changes.Your idle will have to be raised. the TR230 will be a little harder to drive in traffic than a smaller cam but it really pulls hard. Sounds really wicked.

don't know. You will be beating up your valvetrain with that one for sure. High lift-short duration = fast ramp rates. What are you planning on doing with the car?

I think that the TR230 gets overlooked alot lately, it's a good cam and solid tq curve. I have a TR227 and really like it, but if I did it again TR230 would be the one. Driveablity is in the tune with any mid to aggresive cam.
