How would you compare the idle of the F13 or 14 on 112 verses a TR224 or TSP225 on 112 as far as the lope is concerned?

This cam pulls through the entire rpm range , not just topend like a lot of the lower tq cams out there right now. Very streetable, sounds real nice but not real radical. Now any one thinking of this cam , you cant go wrong,.
That's some damn good mph for mild ported heads (and the cam of course). Congrats!

The f13 is close to what the tr224 is ,Maybe a little bit more. The f14 is a bit more then that. It is harder then what my c1 222/222-.566/.566 112lsa cam was. This cam sounds great but compared to a freinds g5x3 , the f13 is a bit tamer.

South Florida, These heads were ported with tq in mind by an old school head porter. He did not open the runners at all, just bowl work and went with 2.02 valves with a good valve job. The flow numbers at peak are not that great but the down low and mid lift numbers are close to all the sponsors heads. The exh. flow on par with most of the sponsors heads. I would love to see this setup in a light car but not going to gut my car. The only weight reduction I have done is AIR delete, and front sway bar off. other then the spare tire at the track it is completely like it came from the factory with every option still in tackt

I do have mild ported heads, a little smoothing in the bowls and 2.02 valves on the intake and stock exh valves. the exhaust do good though. the heads flow 256 @ .500and 257@ .600 on the intake. 219cfm at .600 on the exh. heads were shaved .015 for around 10.5/1 compression

Allan looked at my graph and said that the heads did not heop much over stock but they did not hurt either. I think they did help with the track times she runs though.

Nice #'s. What head gasket are you running? GM MLS? Did he open the exhaust ports at all or just clean them up? Thanks.

Would it be a waste to go from the cam I have now to a f13 or f14?

After reading all these threads talking about how great the F13 is, I can't wait to get my FAST 90 back from Futral so I can get it and the PRC's installed.

These are stock GM gaskets and yes the exh ports are opened with stock valves.

f13 and f14 have generally been producing better results than the f15, but the f15 sounds wicked.

The 14 would probably be what you want, it does sound about the same as a g5x3.

The F13 is as good as it gets. I have it on a 112+2. I swapped it out for an F15 and LOST power (search my username for the thread if interested) so it went right back in. With untouched 853 heads, bolt-ons, and the stock 10-bolt, I trapped 117mph on radials. Nothing wrong with that. A better driver would have had the car in the 11's cam-only I would think, I was only cutting 1.9x/2.0x 60's.

BTW, specs on the F13 are 230/232 .595/.585 112/114+2/4

How does this cam compare to a TSP 225? Worth swapping up to?

well, the 225 is definately in line with the middle of the road cams. The f13 would be stepping up to a large cam, but not a monster cam. If youre looking to get 30 HP from your $355, youll probably be disappointed. If you dont mind a smaller increase in HP, while maintaining great drivability supposedly similar to cams not unlike your own, then the f13 seems to be your cam.
