Default DOH!!!! Pulley Dilhema

How would you suggest getting the crankshaft pulley off a M6 car with the rearend missing???

I did things in the wrong order.
I should have pulled the pulley before I took the rearend out. I'll be waiting a couple of weeks for the 12 bolt and don't want it to hold up installing the rest of the goodies.

Do I have to pick up a flywheel holder or is there someway I can use the leverage of the driveshaft (without risking bending it) by wedging it against the tunnel?

flywheel holder is free to rent at murrays or autozone.

Go to the Summit web site and search for flex plate holder. They do come in handy on M6 cars. Only like 20.00.

My crank pulley came out without the tranny even attached, and using a impact gun. It's worth trying before you go buy a flexplate holder

yea fosho try an impact with a 3 jaw puller setup properly....should do the trick. Those pullies turn into creampuffs when you put an impact to them.

I'm not worried about the pulley itself, but the crankshaft bolt.
But you're right its worth a shot.
