Default stroker or not?

ok i need a little help. i have a lt1 and the crank is no good so i have to buy one. im considering getting a 383 stroker kit but if i did would the heads have to be changed at all and what would have to be done to the block? right now the block is at the shop just getting dipped and honed. would i just be better off getting a stock forged crank instead? i appreciate any help with this. im trying to rebuild the engine as cheap as i can but i want to do it right. i want to put a lt4 hotcam in it if that makes any difference.

using the hot cam, i would reccomend the stock forged unit, dont geta stroker, that is a pretty tame cam in a 383 or larger, plus with the stroker youd need to possibly change the pistons as well, so i dont know if you are planning on doing that already or not as it doesnt say

Go with stock crank. Put all of your money in heads and cam. There are some 425hp kits out there.
