Default New rollmaster timing chain is loose

I have a Rollmaster double chain. (its not the one with the bearing) anyway...first the cam sproket wouldn't fit onto the cam. I took a dremel and ground it pretty good and if fit on the cam. then when I got it all bolted up the damn chain it loose. I have put 3 or 4 of these on before and they were all pretty damn tight. My stock chain in my old motor had 50k on it and it was not half as bad as this one.

Anyone have any ideas? Its a 04 cast iron block.

I would send it back. Mine was tight as hell. If it's as loose as you say you'll probably jump a tooth.

this might be on same topic ... anyone use GM Timing Chain dampner? suppose to reduce chain slap keeping it tighter for engines operating above 6500 RPM.
