Default trex question or cam in general?

What does the ramp rate of the cam have to do with the gears that you are using? Thunder racing says 4.10s or bigger Why would you need that?

The Trex is know to make power up high...and not so much down low.....
many "large" cams have this result...
gears help you stay within the powerband better...help you to get into the upper rpms a little quicker to "use" the power at its main spots....

ALL cams benefit from gears at the track....
not all cams benefit for daily driver reasons...

its completey up to what your curve looks like...and where the real power is at in your RPM range

and its not a function of high lift..... just a function of the powerband of some cams
