Michael,
I had those Rev dual's on my LS6 heads. They worked well and were quiet. I would check on max lift and give them a try. Recently switched to the Comp Cams 987s and they work the same but with more noise.

I believe max lift on the 1116's is .620

Good to hear that theyre quiet, I hate extra unnecessary noise.

I've been pleased with my REV-1116 springs on stock heads. If I were having headwork done, I'd have them prepped for Comp 987's or something similar though.

Do a search for REV Springs and you will find some other information about the springs from about 3 months ago.

thanks for the info, guys!

I´m getting a 422 iron block built from Shirl Dickey.
It will see 300hp Nitrous shots.

It has a 236/240 601/609 114 LSA cam, so I should be OK with the lift.
The car is an A4 and will be shiftet at 6200.
Rev limit will be set to 6600, so no high revs.

Shirl is pretty sure that these springs are perfect for my application and I have trust in him.
Hope the springs hold what they promise.
Wouldn´love to have one breaking.

Michael

How much lift is the CC987's good up too? I might have my revs removed if they are only good to .620 lift.

Also the 987 do need machine work.

So you can go much higher than .620.

I know that the 987's require head work just don't feel paying someone $,$$$ to have my heads machined. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> How hard is it to machine the spring seat pocket area? What tool would be required to do so? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Do you have more than .620 lift?
Not yet, I plan on being there toward the end of this year though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Joe, thanks for the tidbit on any SBC spring. I might have to look into that.
