Default Trex cam questions,.....

Hi, im currently gauging some interest in the Trex cam (242/248 - .608/.612 - 110 lsa) and i have a few questions...... if i use this cam im sure i would have to change pushrod length. I currently have a MTI B1 cam in the car which is a 221/221 - .558/.558 114 LSA and i had my heads ported. recently we realized the heads are flowing too much for that cam an hp is falling off. i have had my valvetrain done entirely Comp R lifters, Trickflow pushrods 7.400", Comp promagnum rockers 1.75, and comp 921 vavesprings. the main question i have is on pushrod length and what size you reccomend i should use..... i plan to use chromoly rods but dont know which brand i will go with nor what size.

I am also VERY concerned with Piston to valve clearance with the 1.75 rockers. can anyone help me with this situation as well?

i am enclosing my current motor set up below..... hope to hear from you soon thank you.

2002 Black LS1 Transam, 6spd

MTI 221/221 - .558/.558 114 LSA, Comp "R" lifters, Comp Pro-magnum rockers 1.75, Comp 921 Valvespring kit, Trick flow hardned pushrods 7.400", Manley Race flow valves in stock sizes, flow tech headers, true dual exhaust, reichard racing P/S pulley, March 25% underdrive pulley,

I'm not sure anyone can tell you if the T-ReX will have enough clearance in your application or not, since there are usually a lot of factors involved in determining PtV clearance.

You said you have had your heads ported. If they were milled or a valve job was performed, you're probably gonna have to measure the PtV clearance on your own, and then you'll probably find that you're going to have to flycut your pistons to make the cam fit.

they have not been milled. and no valve job has ben performed. i talked with thunderracing. they said i shouldnt have a problem with the stock length rods but i should check anyway with the 1.75 rockers.
