if i'm wrong, someone please point it out. i do know that thunder has their own lobes....and has them ground(i phrased it poorly before). i was under the impression that the T-Rex was included in that group. If thats not the case....then its not the case. And I'll learn something new. I'll be better off, but if it makes you feel better trying to belittle me for learning, go ahead and waste your time. No skin off my back hero.

I'm not saying Thunder is better than Comp, or anything like that. I've not run either of their cams. But running a Comp Cam with the exact same specs as the Thunder cam will come close....just not the same. Thats what I am saying.

for that price i would pick a comp grind...

i went 11.8's @ 116 in an auto, full weight, with macs, 3.42's, lid, 3200 stall, and a 228/230 .571 .573 112lsa comp cam...with just the cam and converter i gained almost 5mph and 8 tenths of a second...

I know I'm a small fish in a big pond here but after dealing with Allan I would go with one of his cams. The man is ungodly sharp when it comes to the LS1 and cams. Also, his customer service is amazing. If you call him and ask about these two cams, he WILL tell you which one will make more power and which will run the number at the track. He has been there and done that. Call me an FMS pimp or whatever, but I like what the man does with these motors.

Can anyone contradict what I said here. If so, please post up.

I will agree Allan is a good LS-1 guy but, you can't ask him which cam is better. That's like asking Thunder which cam is better..a thunder cam or a futral cam. What do you think they would say You have to ask someone that is unbiased.

If you had two cams, one from TR the other from FMS, and both were similar. I'm sure both cams would be great. If you tried both cams in two different cars, the results would be similar and different.

no one is trying to belittle you, i thought you were being sarcastic.not every cam will ever be the same as another with the same specs...they will come very close but not quite the same.
what my point is, thunder uses comp cams to grind their stuff.

ahh...nope, no sarcasm here. but all is well

thunder doesn't physically grind their own cams, so comp may very well do it(likliehood is high). my only point was that thunder doesn't use comp's off the shelf lobes, they use their own.

I have said that I will be putting it in after finals (May 10th ish). BUT if I actually get the cam in my possesion, who know when I will do it (probably sooner).

Let me know if you are going to come to MMP or not...
