Gm Perfor. Parts Ls1 To Ls6 Conversion Package???????????
ls6 heads
head bolts
head gaskets
ls6 cam 204/218 .550/.550 lift
waterpump gasket, crankshaft seal, bolt , valve cover gaskets.
NAL-GMP012 $1799.95
My question is is this a good heads and cam package for the money. Will the gain be worth the money. i don't want to go with an outragous head/cam package so my car won't idle and have problems down the line. i plan on doing kooks LTs 1 3/4, catted y , air lid. would this be a good setup and will i be happy with the power and SOTP difference for the money of all of these items. thanks in advance mario
If you like the LS6 cam specs, I recommend the following cam:
220/224 116lsa+4
With STG 2 heads and that cam, you'll get 410+ RWHP with no problem!!!
My opinion is that for $1799 you can probably do better, but then again you have GM reliability and a super stealth set up which can be good if that is your goal. If it were me, I would use the 243 heads with an LPE GT2-3 cam and get some really nice results.
The MTI suggestion above is also a good suggestion. When MTI has a heads/cam sale, this would be a good thing to jump on.
Good luck.

Please re-read your first post... That G1 cam will be a lot more radical than you might think. If you insist on getting that cam, get it on at least a 116 LSA or maybe a 117 LSA
Don't get caught up in the "must have a big cam". Unless you go drag racing a lot, go smaller and you'll thank me later. I just put my 4th cam in my car this past winter and so far I love it the best! Mine is a 226 222 116lsa+2. I'm probably going turbo next winter, that why I choose those cam specs.

One of MTI's Stealth cam options would be great too.

MTI is still a great company to be hooked up with.
afr 205s
stealth 1 or 2
kooks LTs 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 don't know which ones yet have to do reaserch
ORY Have low restrictive exhaust (stock with a cut out)
MTI clear lid
4.11s (just picked up today not installed though)
Is this a good package i put together. i have read that the stealth cams are good. the idle is good and they sound stock but that is all decieving and they make good power. thanks in advance mario
A set of AFR's is gonna set you back quite a bit of money.
I'd seriously consider this TEA GP if its still running....

MTI should be able to tell you what the S1 vs. S2 will do for you.
I have a TR220-114 which is very similar to the MTI S1. It's a nice mild cam.
The 1 7/8" headers would be too big (IMO), go with a nice set of 1 3/4" headers.

thanks mario
