Overcoming '03 SVT Cobra's

LS1 F-bodies aren't worth the price you had to pay to get them new either, IMO. My window sticker is $25,600! Sold for that much in late 1997! Good thing I bought it for ~$15k when it was three years old with only 32k miles.

yeah, but look at the depreciation of cobras. i mean there are people still asking and getting 18k for 01's. And they can't take an f-bod. Really, im not just saying this because i own an fbod (i own a stang GT too) and the f-bod is the best bang for the buck anyone can buy.

I've heard they rated em at the crank. Like old style Gross HP vs Net at the flywheel??? Anyone know about this?

I have been 4-0 against 03+ cobra. I have most basic bolt ons and a tnt 100 shot (120 actually) 2 of the drivers where extremely good. The cars were putting down ~480. They have now reached 550rwhp w/ the ported eaton. For the kbs you will definetly need nitrous and h/c. You will need less hp than they do to run the same times.. A stalled car will have no problem against a M6 fbody and should be ok w/ the cobra. I actually pulled away from the cobras I run in my 3rd gear and I didnt have a stall back then.

My son has 03 Cobra convert@4k# race weight/pulley/K&N/catback/x pipe/nitto's/after market shifter/dyno tune/448 hp. I drop him 6 out of 10 because I pull hem early, he pulls me on the high end BUT he is 0.070 faster( THIS makes a close race) when we compare our FASTEST time slip

to be a true "snake charmer" you will have to do a little more then heads/cam, that will only take care of the "regular" modded newer cobras making 450-480...
to be safe i say you just run a blown/turboed/built bottom end 400+ cube monster
