OK, so i dynotuned today at wheel to wheel, and i have to say that im a bit dissappointed. i put down 351 hp with the following:

mti lid
k&n
85mm maf
msd wires
edelbrock lts
true duals
160 thermo
4.10s
patriot ls6 2.02 59cc chamber heads
and a lunati 224/224 .560.560 112lsa

mind you these numbers are sae corrected, but still i was hoping for at least high 300's like 390? not even close. im gonna try to go to livernois open house and see what i put down there. this is with a 12.8:1 a/f and around 28 degrees of timing and almost 30 at 6800. i guess im not too upset, cause its really freakin fast, but i wanted to hit 400. i guess i shouldve got a bigger cam...

That seems really low... did you get a baseline tune before all the mods on the same dyno? Maybe you have a plug not firing? My buddy one dyno'd low and wound up his throttle cable was half off and not letting the TB blade open all the way. Check that stuff out too. Or it could just be the dyno, if it was a mustang or DD dyno, they dont score as high.

i dont have a baseline, this is the first time my car was on the dyno. i put down 338 at the wheels on the first pull. 351 rwhp on the last pull. W2W has a huge mustang dyno that will handle 200moh and 2000hp and also works with awd. i know id prob put down 375+ or so on a dynojet, but it just sucks that i can only claim 351...i really wanted at least 400. it seems like people put down 400 witht he mods i have all the time. i have asp pulley also. man, i feel crappy right now. it is fast, but man, i now wonder what 400 feels like. guess im getting a bigger cam.

tomorrow livernois is having their open house, i hope they dont cancel from rain, but if they do, im gonna get a couple dyno runs to see what they say. 350 sounds real low though...

It looks like your using Hypertech for tuning, if so ditch it and get a software package first. Next remember a Mustang dyno is habitually lower than a DynoJet due to the difference in loading! And lastly, get a cam custom ground to your vehicle and usage, you wont regret it!

BTW, I happen to like my PP 5.3L S2 heads, no tuning just head swap and went from 12.35 to 12.10 in the quarter, both were repeatable runs, several times, like condition, actually much looser track on the Heads run.

no, i just got a cutom dyno tune today from wheel 2 wheel. i know mustang dynos are lower, but still, even 375 rwhp seems low. better, but low. i guess i need a new cam.

take it to the track and see what mph you trap.if it feels fast and your fast at the track or on the street ,don't worry about the low dyno numbers.then if you beat someone that dynoed 400rwhp watch their reaction when you tell them you only put down 350rwhp.

Livernois' Open House was rescheduled for Saturday May 7th. Is your car a auto or 6-speed? My 99 Vette 6-Speed made 403rwhp/378rwtq with the following mods on their Dyno-Jet:

Livernois Motorsports Stage 1 Ported LS1 Heads
Livernois Motorsports Custom 224/228 114 Cam
LG Motorsports Longtube Headers and X-Pipe
Z06 TI Catback
Tuning by Livernois

I did these mods before I knew a ton about the LS1s and wish now that I would have done a larger cam or even the same cam on a 112 LSA, but who knows..... maybe later

I have stg 2 PP heads. I put on the new heads and a TSP 225 cam (didnt tune it) and picked up .5 sec and 5mph in the quarter, with the same (crappy) 2.1 60 ft s before. This is with stock manifolds.
So I'd say that is pretty decent for just slapping the heads/cam on and running it, without tune/headers.
