Default No power after cam install

Ok, I bolted everything back up today, and went to turn the car on for the 1st time after the cam install. Gauges light up when I insert the key, and I turn the key. CLICK. I then loose my power. Repeated that a few times to the same result. And now I have no power even when I turn my key.

The car had to be jump started the last time I drove it (1 month ago), so Im thinking its the batter??

Help me fast LS1tech

Try turning on headlights, interiors lights as a quick test. A voltmeter is always handy.

Seems like you will need charge circuit testing if the battery continues to drain, or you have a partial short in the electrical system.

If you have access to an ammeter, you can run it in series with the fuse
panel fuses to find out if any circuits are drawing high current.

Throw on a set of booster cables and try your luck in any case.

Sounds like an electrical problem. What exactly did you do, just a cam install? Didn't pull the heads or the intake?

If you jumped it last time you drove it, which was a month ago, I'd just assume it's the battery at first.

My guess is you did... you just didnt know you did. I'd start by getting under the car to make sure all the charge wires are in tact(alt and starter wires)

Good luck

If there is a problem in the system, you may have had an open current being drawn by the alt or starter or something that could have drained your batter overnight just by bumping some wires if they were already loose before the cam install. I've heard of that happening.
