Default my compression test results

tested 5 cylinders. all were about 200-210 psi...cept for the cylinder that i think (well, know at this point) is the culprit. 30 psi motor is coming out next weekend to see what the walls look like.

What were your symptoms before you did the test?

There's no point in doing the other tests now, he's verified there's a bad cylinder.

It may still be a good idea to do a wet test. It's still possible that the problem is a burned or bent valve, in which case you might not need to pull the engine - just the head(s).

Especially with a number so low, you'd expect it to be a really big leak!

bad valve prolly wouldnt leak as much air as it does out the oil filler. its be in the exhaust or intake. and at this point it doesnt matter what test i do because the engines gonna come out. ill pull the head off weds and see what shape the cylinder is in.

well, pulled the head off...walls dont look too bad. there was definatly something rubbing though by the vertical marks on the walls. it didnt feel too bad so im hopeful that i can just hone and replace the rings.
