ok it seems the intake is better on the ls6 and exaust is better on the tea's... the ls6 cnc didnt start until .200... threw me when trying to compare them..
but neither is better than the other straight across the board... the tea's are still cheaper. The CNC ported ls6's will cost $2,257.20 delivered. The TEA 1.5 rev2's are $1660 .. big difference

Great head but at that price your looking at AFR's finished by TEA

good luck with your purchase.....you're not really comparing apples to apples here, but i'm sure you know that from your research...

Couldnt line up the numbers straight across so its a little tricky looking at them. The way thier listed with the lift being shown different. one shows the numbers starting at 200 lift and the other 100 as well as one having a rating at 450. I agree the ls6 cnc'ed shows better numbers down low but not on all the exaust. Why is that? Also they are more expensive . I'm not sure what your apples to apples commment is about, the numbers are right there to be seen as well as I looked up the cost of the ls6's to my door. With some hand finishing it might be the best head out there right now but its still 2257.20 as compared to $1660. Thats 597 more. IF they would deliver that thing for a reasonable price it would be in the range but still more money. 940x2=$1880 + 100 for shipping would be $1980. But they want $376.20 to ship

I think TEA has some of the best shapes in the exhaust port, and also that number is through a pipe. The LS6 head is without. Look at the average cfm numbers from .200-.600. The LS6 head has an average cfm of 250. The TEA head has an average cfm of 240. No doubt both heads are going to make great power, the TEA will probably make better torque due to the better exhaust flow. The GMPP will probably make a little better peak horse power. Its simple science the valve lift cycle flows consistantly pressurized air and fuel from .100-.600 lift so you have to value every lift point the same as the next. Start using an average lift number from these heads and then you will see what sits where. Just look at the AFR stuff, go do the average cfm on a 205.

TEA's are flowed with a exhaust tube making them appear to flow better on the exhaust. However, that's an insane amount to have shipped to your door I'd be pissed!! anyways, TEA's heads are a awesome set of heads, and you'll definately be happy with them. I say you're in a win win situation. Go with what you're comfortable with man

Choosing your heads has to be in conjunction with choosing your cam.
With a FM11, I would go GMPP, however with a reverse like TR230 or X1, I would prefer the TEA's.
But when we look at AFR's for $2180 shipped, then it is not hard to see that GMPP's start fading away fast.

cool, so finding the adverage for a set of heads is how you judge them? what do stock heads flow, and ls6 heads flow? im just tring to get a baseline to see how much i gained...and understand this all alil better...and what is the adverage flow # for good flowing heads? something that produces alot of power? if those are too many questions just tell me and ill learn to ask one at a time, im just tring to learn all this stuff...

thanks,
Jon

P.S. i dont mean to be thread highjackin but this is all good information in this thread that i have had questions about...
