Bought some at Wally World last night...heard it is a good oil for the LS`, but curious as to what Patman says, as well as the rest of you. No GC around here this time, so I did my best to improvise!

This oil should work well. I am going to experiment with it and do a UOA so that I can compare the wear numbers to GC.

I filled my sump with it last week. I'm planning a UOA also.

i have been running this stuff since it came out. got almost 1500 miles out of it and my car has not needed any oil added since.

It's a very close Formula to Mobil's Delvac 1 Synthetic 5W-40 Million Mile Oil. Very good additive package and suit's the LS1 very well. If you run your car hard it also has a good HTHS (high temp/high shear) index. I plan on running it in my LS1.

I have also heard a lot of good things about Rotella Synthetic....Cheap and quality!

I'm running this Mobil 1 5W40 T&SUV in my Silverado 5.3

I like it better than the GC that I took out of it.
