Default Help from those with 918 springs

I bought some springs from someone that were supposed to be comp 918s. When they arrived there was a nice little note stating that he was not sure that they are what he advertised them to be. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> There are no identifying marks on the springs, although they do have the residue of a verticle stripe which looks red-ish (like surface rust) I know the only safe thing to do is to have the seat pressure tested, but does anyone know if I can tell by looking at them? Does the blue stripe wear off and look like I described above? Help

I'd get myself a new set of springs and not chance it. Springs are something you dont want to buy used, you dont know if they have 500 or 50,000 miles on them.

i may be wrong but i think they are honeycomb shaped as where the stock springs are mostly the same from top to bottom. But like said above, i wouldnt risk it!!! Get the new 918s with the blue stripe on the box

They should be bee-hive shaped (smaller on top, bigger on the bottom) and the newer batches have a vertical blue stripe.
