Search feature's not working ... about how much does a leakdown test cost and what does it consist of?

Which would you get to do one? ... a dealership or a Performance shop????

Yes you are J/K but dependind on labor rates most shops should be around 100.00 give or take.

all a leakdown test does is measure the PSI that each cylinder of your engine can hold. you can buy the adapter from sears, and you'll need an air compressor. if all the numbers are in the 165(?) range you should be fine, if one number is lower than the others then there is a problem with that piston (or valve etc.). not a complicated process at all. take out spark plug and screw in air hose attachment, turn on the compressor and read the psi.
