I have heard of people do 383 on ls1's but I was thinking if it was at all possible to go bigger? More specifically, I have heard that 408 was possible on the ls1. Is this even possible? really interested in stoking my engine, thanks for any replies.

 

A lot of people have 408 LS1s, but they are not all stroke.

 

You can get 406 on a 3.905 Bore and a 4.25 Stroke. I think only Lunati and makes crank with that much stroke. Generally people dont like to go with more than a 4" stroke (which would give you a 382). I went with a 4.125" stroke (395 cu in) and I am about 15/20 minutes from you if you ever want to come check it out. Its about 6 weeks before I get my AFR 225's (cant wait), and I still have the front and rear covers off.
