Default Need Help with cam and exhaust

I'm planning on putting on headers, y pipe, and a whole system but was wondering will everything just bolt up? or wll i need welding done?

also with the cam, what happens after i put it in and start it up? does every light come on?

If anyone can guide me that would be cool. Plus i need what i need for all that.

You can get everything with the exhaust to just bolt up. I did Jet Hot longtubes, off road y pipe and an Hooker catback exhaust. I got some better band clamps but no welding. As for the cam there is only one cam that you can install and NOT need a tune immediately, and that is the 02+ LS6 cam. For a cam install under .600 lift you'll need:
cam
valve springs comp cams 918's
front cover gasket
water pump gaskets
coolant
tune
I'd go ahead and change the oil and filter too.

Good luck.

Talking

For a cam install go to:

Use 5/16 and 1/4" rods(18" long) to hold the lifters up.

Good luck. Just did mine a few weeks ago.
