no oil in top of motor with good oil pressure

Default no oil in top of motor with good oil pressure

i have a 2000 Ws6 and im not geting any oil to top of motor. oil pump is fine. i took valve covers off and hooked everything back up and confirmed that there is no oil. so where should i start i know i have to start a tear down, but what to i look for? thanks Frankie

what aftermarket stuff do you have on there? rockers? etc...

try running the engine with the valve covers off to makre sure theres no oil coming up.

Rockers
Push Rods
Lifters

Anything more and you are tearing down the engine. Try running the engine with the valve covers off. I'm not sure how easy it will be since the packs are mounted on the valve covers, but you might see what is going on. Don't do it too long though.

It takes a while on a cold engine to get oil to the top side, I waited 4 minutes on a 01 Z06 once.
