How long will 918's last with .610 lift?

I had always heard the 918's were only good to .600" lift, but I happened to come across SDPC's write-up, and they say they're good to .625". They probably sell a ton of these, and if they were breaking, I would think they would lower the advertised spec. just to avoid the headaches it would cause them.
