If flycuting isn't a problem you can have a custom cam made for you with 260+ duration and 650+ lift.
It will idel like a bitch but will make those other cams seem small.

Both make 413 rwhp, both run 10.29s @ exactly 128.48 mph.
My 2000 SS has the 241 casting on the heads. Why is that?

Mine too....its because they are red!

Just our motors where built later close to the 01 model year when the 241's alread replaced the others.

From what I've seen the majority of F15 cams have not made any big numbers like the X4, or T-REX. Also let me clarify the above statement, I could give a rats *** who dynos the most, if it dynos 200 r.w.h.p., and runs a 10.00 then performance is what counts.

Dyno numbers mean nothing and you are correct.

I've had the X-2, X-3 and X-4. I like the X-4.
I plan on 10.1x's@130 before the end of the year.

You might be surprised how well the bigger cams idle.

As you can tell, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to cams. I would not know where to start with a custom grind

Decent, I only brought the car to the track the first night it was running, and got the times in my sig. My car has full interior, a/c, mild steel 6 point cage, all the wiring, and door bars, so it's not a beer can. Now my wife daily drives the car, I run the Hal R's on 4 with 17X9.5 & 18X10.5 chrome Z06 wheels on regular radials.

This is from the TR's website,

"Rodney's car has been raced to a best of 10.433 @ 130.19 mph with a 1.401 sixty foot time. All of this was accomplished on the stock rods, pistons, crankshaft, and cylinder heads. He is the current "camshaft only" ET record holder for LS1 vehicles in the country."

Are you part of Thunder Racing? If so, I am interested in a package that I found on the website today. Who do I contact when I call?

Notice that he said it's from the customer page. Typically the people on here that work for a sponsor have "ls1tech.com sponsor" or something like that as their title too. He just has a totally haul *** car with thunder parts and know-how.

I hope i'm not wrong. lol
