Default mti 2e heads vs. afr 205

hey guys, i called up mti to ask how much install would be on the afr 205. they told me they dont carry afr, but they say their 2e heads flow alot better than the afr's is this true? i know the 2e heads are probably one of the best for the bang for the buck, but i was curious on everybodys thoughts?

Some heads can outflow others and still make less HP. MTI's heads are great, but I'm seeing some very impressive numbers (hp) from AFR.

Just don't make the mistake of basing you decision on $$$. Been there, done that. As soon as I put some money aside, I'm getting a set of AFR's.

Performance from heads is not all about flow #s. Remember when someone says they flow "better" that can mean many different things. AFRs were not designed to flow more, they were designed to flow better at certain lifts. Port velocity, swirl, quench, etc. all will play a role in how heads perform. Talk to the sponsors on here and let them know what your looking to get - maximum HP at high rpm, good torque, down low, etc. All of that will determine your best buy. In the end it may be that the MTIs are your best choice, but it shouldn't be because the flow "better".

This is David at MTI. AFR's are an excellent product and you can't go wrong with them. We've seen comparable dyno numbers between cars with our IIE heads and the AFR's (same cam and bolt ons) so it really comes down to your personal preference and budget.

If we can be of assistance, just let me know.

Thanks!
