Default What Size and Length Pushrod?

As I am building a 6.0 cast iron engine with a hydraulic roller cam(not sure which yet, it is going to be big hence the 1.75 ratio rocker kits.

I am looking into buying either or the two kits below. Why would i go with the 5/16 or the 3/8" setups. What I am asking is which would be more beneficial and do they require any work to the head to be used? If anyone has something that worked well for them please fill me in. I am open to many suggestions.

Also, the heads i have i do not know how much they have been shaved, I know they have been cut a little though. The block has be 0 decked for sure though. So going off of that, maybe someone can give me an idea of what pushrod length to look for.

Unless you have a really crazy setup 5/16 should be fine, 3/8 may require some mods. As far as pushrod length, your best bet is to install crank, cam,#1 piston, figure what type of head gasket thickness, for compression ration and then use a pushrod lenth checker, because is block was milled and heads and or angle milled and head gasket thickness will affect it along with cam size, hope this help good luck and go fast.
