Thanks pdd !

BigSteele- Yeah, that was BEFORE i got her tuned, that's why the first four days i was in heaven! Pm me your e-mail and i'll send you the vid i made today, now that she's tuned. I know *i* can tell the difference, but like i was told, a 750 rpm idle sounds good until i have to start fixing things.

blazerkid3@yahoo.com
why is it bad for to have the lower idle, because it kicks/knocks around so much?
Also, what spring setup did you go with?

BigSteele- I used the PRC "dual" springs with new seals, seats, and ti retainers. I was told that the low rpm idle would destroy the valve seals and ruin the plugs. If the guru's want to chime in, i'm sure there are other reasons not to run the idle that low.

I just realized that clip was with duals dumped beofre the axle. Which would be amuch louder setup than my stock dual-dual. This is growing on me more and more. Is there any way you can resize the graph? I can't tell what the cam numbers were and I'm trying to see the curve better.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 114 would have a better idle, but would then also move the powerband farther up slightly? Where does your curve start to come back down.

VERY nice exit in that video

i have the TSP duals and actually have that exact valvespring kit installed already. i pulled my heads to replace the lifters and said what the hell, already had them off and planned on doing a cam. i want a cam around that size, maby f14 or the f15 RJ?!?!! now that i drive the saturn every day, the z28 is no longer a daily driver, open season on monster cams

Ru2nOOn3er- I'll post my graph again but not sure if it's any better. The torque curve starts to fall at about 5200 rpm's which is fine with me for my driving style. This car has never been on the track, i just want her to be a street car.

TheBlurLS1- These springs truly feel like they could handle a much bigger cam, so a F15 in your car would be very nice indeed.

Checkmate- Thanks! For my first cam i am very impressed with this grind. It seems right at home in my small 346.

Thanks for the great write-up and the thoughtful, careful approach you took to the install. Great job! I enjoyed walking through it with you step by step - it makes the job much more approachable.

Thanks RevGTO!! You will enjoy your car SO much more when you do it yourself!! Funny thing about this write up, every time i read it i remember more things i wanted to include.
Just like what Bill Bowling said, ( congrats man!! I want to hear that thing, got a clip yet? ) The radiator by yourself is futile. Here's what i did-
On the fan assembly are four clips ( two on each side ) that hold the fans to the radiator. Put the radiator on your toes, lean down and pull the fan assembly off the radiator. Set the fans aside, and install the radiator FIRST into the car. This will give you more room to work with the A/C condenser ( the smaller radiator ). Once you have those two locked together, you can bring the fans in at an angle and work it in.
Can you tell i had fun?
