damage to the crank?
if a spark plug wire is fouled and the engine isnt running on all 8 cylinders could this be damaging to the crank or any other parts of the engine (ie due to a fuel flooded cylinder) not really sure about any of this... help anyone?
One concern would be that raw fuel collecting in the cylinder could tend to "wash down" the cylinder walls and promote wear. Most of the fuel will be blown out, but some could collect.
Also, raw fuel blowing into the catalytic converter can overheat and damage it.
Are you just trying to figure out if you've got damage from running a long time on 7 cylinders? Mostly it will depend on how long it ran like that. If no codes are being set and the engine is running OK, you're probably allright. But, if you want, you can run a compression test and see if that cylinder shows up low.
