Default big cam question guys

i have a 408 long block coming in, and it only has 130 miles on it, its got a pretty narely cam like 254 266 around high 630's lift on a 114 lsa, its going into a z06, i got fast 90 and nick williams already got a pretty big hole drilled in it from the previous motor, i was wondering if this thing will be streetable at all, i mean i can deal with little bit of surging and stuff, but not something that will die at every stop light.

It won't die at all with the right PCM tuning, but the surging is pretty hard to completely tune out. You can learn to deal with the bucking by adjusting how you drive.

I'm sure there are others with input, but it's been less than one full day and not that many people can speak in an educated manner about a 254/266 in a 408. Unfortunately.

I have a long rod (+0.300"), 388 all bore with a 244/249, 0.640" lift, 112LSA that I drive every day (had to go Speed Density to get a good air/fuel at idle......MAF didn't like the setup)......

it idles really happy at 1K (ie: I can go out in the morning, crank it, and walk off while it warms up.....)......it CAN idle as low as 800 but it REALLY does not like to.....

with your added Cubes it SHOULDN'T be a problem but it all comes down to "Try and you WILL know....."
