Default Edelbrock LS1 Heads are listed.....

The new Edelbrock 203cc heads P/N 61969 are now listed on their web site. If they flow as well as the AFR 205 and are cheaper than AFR...........well you know.

Nice to see another player in the after market LS1 head market. Let's hope we will begin to see lower prices.

Whats this Smog you speak of? Nice to have another set to chose from, but see they favor the dished piston or Nitrous guys.

I heard they are still a couple months out. I am just looking for a cheaper bare casting to come from these.

Why? You don't think Edelbrock has any experience?

Nice to see another cylinder head option. I fondled a set of these at the PRI show and they are a pretty clean casting. Price and flow numbers are what I am interested in.

they have experience, but from MY experience, AFR made better heads when i was building Ford 302's. Edelbrocks are still an excellent piece and are damn sure going to be nicer then ported stock castings

I would be surprised if they didn't perform as well. Both Edelbrock & Lingenfelter know their stuff. They seem to have taken the extra time to do alot of R&D on these heads. Instead of just rushing a set heads to market to go up against the AFRs when they came out first with their heads.

my reply would go along with what BottleRocket just said:

from MY experience, alot of people made better heads when i was building Small Block Chevys. Edelbrocks are still an excellent piece. they make a good quality head... i just dont see as much performance out of them as alot of other guys.. they tend to not be as "tweeked".

yeah, im not saying Edelbrocks are inferior. they are still a badass head. Hell, I used them on every Windsor I built, Performer RPMs with stage 2 port/polish on mine. AFRs are GREAT heads, but for the dollar, ill take edelbrock
