A LIL bit? You need a tune A LOTTA bit. Get that thing tuned, bro! No more bucking/surging. Better gas mileage and driveability 10fold.

my f14 cam is on a fm11 tune right now. it likes to stall when i let off the gas abruptly, then its hunts for idle for a second. the cam pulls like a monster. i hope when i get it retuned it will take care of those problems i have

Ahh Kev, now were talking. FI, I knew you'd come around. I'd go with Phamspeed or STS, but if your dead set on ATI then that's cool too.
It really wouldn't make sense to swap cams for another thumper just to swap it later on for a FI cam. Hold out until you can afford the blower.

yup...that's what i am doing...i'm getting the tranny fixed within the next month or so...then i'll see where my money stands...then comes stg3 tea heads, ati d1sc race kit, and a custom futral cam (236\243-114)...i think i may need a 12-bolt after that ...don't ya think...hopefully i will be getting 700+rwhp out of this

well....I just had a 25 minute discussion w/Allan Futral the other day about the 13/14 differences.
Basically the 14 is going to kick in 400 or so RPM's later, at least. However its going to pull that much further on the top end.
Allan said that if two cars, w/all other mods being equal, one w/the 13, and the other w/the 14, raced, the 13 would get the jump and keep it for a little bit til the 14 gets up there in rpms, where it will start to creep into the lead and take the 13 by a bumper or two.
With all that, the 13 and the 14 are entirely different lobes. The 14 is on much more aggresive lobes, so thats something to keep in mind. Drivability will be a little rough compared to the 13, but not too bad at all(I know, I've ridden in Brandon's car). Also the 14 will idle a good bit rougher as well.
It just depends on what you want more.....good low end or good top end. These cams tailor to different goals.
However, if you plan on a S/C in the future, I'd look into the FM9(232/236 585/600 114). It makes near-13 power levels N/A, but really wakes up with N2O or FI. Its tailored specifically for power adders.

That is a huge stick. What lift? And I thought a higher lsa would be better?

I want the lower end power of the f13 but with the idle lope like the f14. I dont really care about the tiny bit of more peak power, Id kind of rather have something with more low end too.
what would the F13 do if the lsa were lowered more, like say 110?
