i too am looking to go forced induction when i stroke my motor. i think ill be staying with aluminum block, nice JE or diamond pistons with huge dishes, forged rods and a 4.00" stroke forged crank. i think it would be better to stay away from a crank with more than 4.00" stroke, cause then they done like to spin as much. the cheap side of me is saying go eagle, but the go big or go home side of me is saying go with a callies crank and a really nice rod. i have patriot ls6 59cc chamber heads, and its better to have a small combustion chamber and a dished piston than a huge combustion chamber and a flat top piston. thats another thing to keep in mind. this way, tha combustion chambers burn retains it characteristics better than with flat tops. i think lunati is also a nice brand. i want security though, and i want to run about 9.1:1 compression with about 15 psi from a d-1sc. my goal will be at least 650rwhp from a 382 ls6. these are just my thoughts of course, but any forged piece will be stronger than stock, thats why im thinking cheap, but callies does make a nice piece...

Odd, I was informed its better to go flat tops and large chamber for better flame propagation, and being able to control quench. So, I will be converting my current 11.6 Nitrous block to a 9.1 FI by swapping heads. I am also building a low comp 347, a friend wanted one, so I got the parts together, machine will be done soon and now he dropped out of the deal. Oh well. Will have a spare 9:1 block for back up I guess.

Here is a pretty common setup I do.

346 with Callies rod's,Diamond pistons -9.5-1 comp.
AFR 205 heads
220 on 115 Cam

Can run 15lbs of boost on pump gas and output is ussually 680-720rwhp.The best part is it drives like stock and passes roller emmission testing
