Default another milling ?

How much should I mill stock LS6 heads (243) to get around 11.0:1 CR with stock MLS gaskets? Would there be any sort of clearance issues with a 224 sized cam? Is 11.0:1 "safe" for a stock bottom end with no plans of blowers or nitrous in the future? If not what would be a better target CR for this set up? Thanks for your input!

With a stock .060" gasket, probably mill off .026" - .028" for 11.0 CR.

I may be mistaken, but I thought stock 2002 MLS crushed head gasket thickness was .052 not .060

Don't know, but thought LS6 motors used MLS .060 gaskets stock and the .052 was the graphite gaskets used in LS1's. Since he said "MLS", I assumed it was the .060" gaskets being used.

If using a .052" gasket though, .014-.016" milled off should get you 11.0 CR

If I were you, I would get a .040 or so gasket and do not mill any further. The more you mill, the more you loose in flow.
Reducing gasket size is a better way because:
1- You keep more chamber and are able to flow more.
2- You tighten you quench and have less detonation problems which is one of the criterias in running higher SCR motors.
