Will bent pushrods kill HP?
I pulled the valve covers off after hearing a knocking sound from the engine. I checked the pushrods and they were all bent a little and 4 of them were more noticeable than the others. Will they hurt hp? Which pushrods should I get? What length? I have a XER 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa with un-milled heads(2.02/1.60 valves).

You probably missed a shift is my guess, thus bending the prods. Yes they will cause a lack of power as the valve cannot open to its full extent. Other damage can happen from this as well. I suggest getting some hardened pushrods, 7.400" drop in and retorque rockers to 22#'s. If you tend to miss a lot of shifts, might want to just get some more stockers, safer for you that way instead of wiping out the lifters, valves or anything.

Yeah they will hurt the power.... This time upgrade to a better quality pushrod. If you are bending them from a missed shift they are not stiff enough so you need to either get a higher quality one or go to a higher quality and a larger size. 1.7:1 Rockers play hell with pushrods.

I got my 7.4" set from thunderracing their consierably stronger than stock have a bigger oil ports and have taken a beating from a few miss shifts on my TR230 equipped M6 ride. I'm a fan!
