Default F11's in

some know I had to yank my bottom end out to fix some wore cam bearings.. well while that was out i went ahead and got a lil F11 cam to replace my 224/224 with something bigger. My 224 is done me well for years and I was more than happy with it but i figured i'd try something a lil bigger.

first impressions:

Idle is awesome and almost better than my 224 cam! Keep in mind both of these are on 114 LSA also.. part thottle and midrange feels smoother than the 224 also for some reason. Im very happy with the FMS cam! Great street manners so far... I havent been WOT yet cause im taking it easy on the freshened up bottom end. If any A4 guys are thinking of this cam for a street car, then go ahead and get it!

props to FMS for a great product

I have had my F11 for almost 2 years(on a 112) and when installed it was considerd a "large" cam, not anymore but it still rocks and makes the number!!

I did the same as you and had the same results. It was a awsome cam and IMO not very popular for some reason.

almost wish i had gotten the F13 now LMAO

i swear its manners are better than the comp 224/224 114 I had.. idle sounds better, but acuatlly acts more stable than the 224 if that makes sense lol

well another 100 miles of break in and ill get to see how she feels WOT again...

i know its not the biggest cam out, but im very happy with it for a street/drag car

Makes perfect sense to me!! How about this... My F13 idles beter and **** then my 224 did. The 224 was 112+0, F11 114+4, F13 112+2.

You could probably get by with it, but I would put at least a set of 3.73's in.

Nice choice of cam... I swapped out my TSP 231/237 for an F13 and the idle is actually a lot more tame, which I like. These Futral cams kick ***... can't go wrong with any of them.

I've got the 11 with 3.73's and it kicks *** in my 99 A4 with a 4400 stall. Now I just need a nice set of heads and an LS6 intake to compliment it. I've hit a few 11's on nittos without a wot tune. I did tune a little on the ve tables and shift points but not wot, running 13.0:1 a/f.

I am always interested, but it depends on the price and when it will be for sale. Let me know.

Glad you like the F11! The idle is excellent on mine as well, almost doesn't sound like there's a cam there at all sometimes. My dyno #'s are in sig, that's with heads though.
