WHat is the difference between our motor and the motor in a c5 vette?

Cam,front dress, TB (electric not Cable driven), oil Pan,

Mainly it's the outside parts. Unless it's an LS6 the internals are no different.

Corvette LS1 cam is different than F-body LS1???

The only year that I'm certain this is true was in model year 2000 when GM experimented with a different cam in the Corvette. Its specs were 198/208 .500/.500 115.5 LSA and, as such, it was the "biggest" stock cam ever used in the LS1 motor. For some unknown reason, though I expect they may have gotten complaints about the slightly rougher idle, it was never used before or after this one model year.

Also, the 2001+ Vettes got the LS6 intake manifold as well as the newer-style 241 casting LS1 heads.

Their tunes are different. Specifically, the ignition timing and power enrichment tables differ. There are numerous other differences.
