224/230 .581/.588 114 cam ???'s ive done some research on this cam, and im sure u all heard it before, but wonderin if this is a good cam for my turbo ls1. its currently being built, forged bottom end, some head work, but all the same cubes and flowing heads...blah blah blah. 8.5ish:1 CR
goals of around 650rwhp on ~12psi.... good power range....decent driver...M6
another big thing im wondering about is th SOUND of the cam... sound is important to me. i know that with less overlap... its not gona sound as choppy... but if anybody has heard this cam, what does it sound like as aposed to a stock cam???

The cam in my sig is close to what your looking at. I love the sound of it. It's pretty chopy at idle but nothing to extream. Its sound better than my TR224 on a 112 lsa. When i ordered my heads this is the cam mti recomended for my ati application.

Don't make sound your main concern. With a turbo, your sound is going to be... different regardless of the cam, alot of your lope will be quieted down by the turbo setup. Have you heard a big engine turbo car before?
Beyond that, sounds like a hell of a ride. I'm planning on adding a turbo to my engine later on, with less power goals, but I'm using nearly that EXACT cam, X-ER lobed.

turo, from what ive noticed, most turbo guys are going with around 114-115 lsa
digitalsolo, yes, ive heard my turbo v8 car b4, for about 3 months b4 it blew
but ya, i always thot it would tame down once i put a cam in for the turbo with less overlap and more lsa. but one of the cams my engine builder suggested was this one, and at first i was like "are you nuts",.... but then i did some research, and a lota FI bois get this cam and have had good results. but i also noticed some NA guys gettin this, and that got me thinkin of a more lopey sound, which i like. obviously performance > sound, but sound would b a nice bonus
