Although dealers can't go below the $2,182 for AFR 205s as per their agreement with AFR, they can throw in no charge services to sweeten the deal, like free shipping, FREE MILLING (cough, cough) and stuff like that.

Well, AFR says the 205s flow right about 300, and once again they do. It's really a no-brainer, because the AFR heads make more power than other heads because they outflow them with a smaller port. Though, I am suprised because the 2R heads are supposed to make good power as well.

I just wonder if those heads aren't really the 2E? Not saying you were swindled, but you bought them used. If they are indeed the 2Rs, then what's the difference between the 2E and 2R, or is there one? But, I don't really believe that MTI would do anything like that. You might want to make sure that there hasn't been a valve job done on those MTIs by some other shop, because that will screw up the flow big time. I know there was a thread on here that showed MTI heads flowing like crap, and the culprit was a local shop doing a valve job to repair the MTIs.

Oh, and with all that said, the $1500 2Es *should* flow less than the 2Rs, so to compare those to the AFRs appears to be laughable. If you want to spend around $1500, get TEA 1.5s or PRCs.

theres a # on the back of the heads, you should be able to call MTI and they should tell you if they are the stage 2r or 2e heads. thats what I did and found out I had the 2R heads.

Don't get too upset, look at the low and mid-range numbers they are quite comparable to the AFRs. I had a talk with the guy that flowed these for me and he said he usually has identical flow values as stock heads advertise but when it gets into aftermarket heads the advertised flow numbers always tend to be higher than what he shows. It's all a part of marketing and as long as it is understood I don't think it is anything to hang your head over.

No actual comparisons from them being on the car. I haven't installed either set on my car as of yet and as I stated above the MTIs are for sale so I probably won't be able to do that comparison.

I found a few numbers last night while I was checking the casting numbers, any idea which one would be what MTI needs or just call and give them all to them and let them decipher it. I will check it out to make sure they are the 2Rs cause I'm not trying to give false info nor sell anyone something that isn't what I say it is.
