I have an 02 z28 w/ 4k miles. At what mileage will the LS1 achieve max power and mileage?

They do take a relatively long time to break in.

Go run an open road race. When you cross the finish line it'll be broken in

And what does the distributor change in regard to break-in? There's nothing special about the LS1 or other GenIII motors when it comes to break-in. They are still internal combustion, ohv, pushrod motors. At 4,000 miles, it's as broken-in as it's ever going to be.
