Default Replacing Timing Cover Gasket question?

Hi all

Is it possible to replace your timing cover gasket without removing your crank pulley?

I was thinking I could remove the waterpump, of coarse, and then just remove all the bolts on the cover, slide out the gasket, and slip the new one in.

Thanks

Be very careful so you dont mess up the seal! Also, be sure to seal the bottom corners with some RTV. Good luck.

Normally of you have a leak in that area it's the front seal. Not the cover gasket.

Unless the cover was off recently and not aligned with the pan correctly or the bottom was not RTV'd.
