Default Thunder Racing 408 info

Been down at TR for the past few days while Geoff has been tuning the car. Yesterday afternoon I took several rides with him in this thing and I can't say enough about the drivability of this car. Pretty damn tame at regular cruising speeds and Feels unbelievable when in the throttle. Absolutely no surging or bucking issues. Put it on the dyno today for WOT tuning. I am sure I will get to take it home this week. My header is touching the steering shaft. So that got to be fixed this week, do another oil change and it should be ready to take home.

523hp/475tq thru full exhaust
534hp/486tq open header

These are very impressive numbers. I am pleased with thunder and would recommend anyone to build a motor with them. 1yr warranty when installed by Thunder. Did you read the latest GM Tech magazine. No one else will stand by their work like this(NO ONE). Thanks to All Thunder Staff.

1 7/8 QTP w/high velecity collector.

BMR K-Member & A-arms
Baer Eradispeed
Moser 12-bolt 4.11

Also watched Geoff tune a TA with stock block and stock heads with a t-rex and 4400 stall and he has that car driving without any problems whatsoever. Hands down He has got to be one of the best tuners in the country on these big cam cars.

Thanks. Have any of you guys upgraded to the LS6 pcv system. Just wondering. I switched while the motor was down.

None. Out of the box heads. I posted the flow numbers on them a few months back if you do a search you will find it.

The folks at Thunder are a great bunch.

How much did you mill the heads or did you go with a slightly domed piston/thin head gasket combo?

I know they milled the heads slightly, but I don't have the exact number. I can get that later today. Maybe I can ask Jason to chime in and give some specifics on everything.
