ok, I have a few questions about big cams -- I'm not sure mine ranks up there w/you guys, but....

What idle speed is your car set on? And I'm getting a drill-like buzz (which may have nothing to do w/the cam). You can hear it best from driver's side and if the radio isn't turned up too loud. Noise lasts for approx. 3-5 seconds and seems to stop if you rev the motor up. So, any suggestions would be nice.

i hear a whine/buzz noise as well, from the sounds of mine is that its the valve train.cam combo. my idle is set at 850, it was 800 before though with no problems just liked the smoothness at 850

I dont hear a sewing machine in my car! Idles at 850 and all you can hear is the exhaust. MS3 is the cam.

my idle speed is set @ 900. still don't have the iac's quite right, because it's still dying on me. the drill-like noise I hear is intermittent, but just don't sound right.

My idle is 950 - runs strong as an ox. I can deal with the sewing machine, but there is a tapping sound. I used some pretty short pushrods - replacing them right now

is this like a tapping sound, or clanking sound? Like piston slap but worse? Or is it more like a geared supercharger kind of sound/hum comming from the engine.
