Default Valvetrain noise w/big cam?

I'm getting what in my opinion is seroius valvetrain noise with the installation of my TTP V.3 cam. I ran crane dual springs with it and it makes a racket under the hood. Do all you big cam guys get this noise - if so can you describe it?

Thanks, Mike

That's what it sounds like... lol - just how loud? Could you hear it say if you were cruising though a tight downtown street (echoing off the buildings)?

My exhaust is too loud to hear the valvetrain.

I hear it when I am next to curbs. It might sound crazy, but I swear I can hear it come and go when I go past driveways and then next to curbs again. Other than that I don't notice.

Doesn't sound crazy to me... I drove around with my head out the T-Tops listen for odd noises. I just swapped in my new motor and I am PARANIOD!

I did re-tourque the rockers today and it got better - even broke out the stethescope. I had a small exhaust leak that wasn't helping matters either. Took her for a 35-40 mile ride today to try to get used to it. Got it up to about 4800 RPM today - she pulls hard Not sure if I am ready to make the 500 mile trip home with it yet Was hoping to get her to Don's this Saturday.

Drove right by the local dragstrip - was tempted to granny shift it down the track to see what she ran - Maybe Thursday night. I'm a little nervous to give her the full 6800

Get some sleep Keith - it's late

big cam here with the yella terra'z and the valvetrain noise is is still very noticeable, especially around curbs or concrete side rails...etc.

You'll get used to it, its not that bad. In really picky with the new motor and im sure i'll never stop being so petro about it, but that is normal.

How many miles have your riden her already?

Oh, also, i have a loudmouth, stock reso, and headers (Dude, pro mod!!!!!) and i can still here it around the curbs and stuff...its no big deal....lets the other guys no you mean business......if they cant the lope that is....
